About

Who We Are

In 2012, DFS announced the acquisition of Tetra AgriGroup Inc.’s feed and grain businesses in Oskaloosa, Iowa. With its primary operations in Newell, the expansion better positions DFS to respond to the growing hog production in the region.

The acquisition adds another 350,000 tons of feed to the DFS portfolio, and allows them room to grow. The Quad County Grain elevator and Nutri Tech Feeds plant in Oskaloosa were named DFS Oskaloosa, and it currently runs 3 shifts per day, 6 days a week, producing pelleted feeds, with more than 80% of output being swine products.

The ISO 9001 certified company operates its own ingredient testing lab, and can trace feed produced at the Newell plant to the herd to which it was delivered.
